We’re here! After 50 long steps up the radio show mountain, we’re celebrating big with a true legend that has changed the game countless times: ladies and gentlemen, Gregor Salto!
A true legend of the game, he has been around for over 15 years, and he’s only getting started. An aficionado of Latin-funk and African inspired beats, Gregor has adapted those rhythms to the Dutch house scene, then escalated it to the global stages with presences on Tomorrowland, Ultra, Mysteryland, etc.
Gregor is also the author of such hits like Para Você, Canoa, Can’t Stop Playing, Azumba, Samba do Mundo and so many more. With all of this pedigree, it is only natural that he is also hot property among superstars seeking remixes, with Major Lazer, Rita Ora, Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez requesting Gregor’s talent. It doesn’t stop there either: on his long list of accolades, one shines brighter than the others: a Grammy, for the track Echa Pa’lla with Pitbull, which also won him an ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers). To top it all off, Gregor is the mastermind behind G-Rex and Salto Sounds, two revered labels of the scene that handpick and give young new talent a chance to spread their wings and fly.
It is with great pride that we celebrate the first milestone of many on Future Connection. From master-level guest mixes fueled by good music above all else, Future Connection leaves behind 50 amazing editions filled with guests like DJ Thera, Mr. Belt & Wezol, Juyen Sebulba, Dimatik, Super8 & Tab, Sephyx, Vigel and so many more. We changed our colors from an aggressive red to a smooth beige and we plan on featuring even more huge guests like the ones before!
To kick off a new era perfectly, we have the sounds of Gregor Salto. Offering an eclectic mix centered around house, future house, tech house from the likes of Diplo, Themba, A-Trak, FISHER and more, Gregor’s precision mixing makes for an incredible first part of this 50th episode! Tune in on Wednesday for part 2, featuring trance due Graham Bell!
