After distributing mysterious flyers during Epiq, indicating that there would be an X-Qlusive in May, Q-dance now reveals who’s the artist receiving one of the highest honors that can be given to a Hard Dance artist: Phuture Noize!
For our readers that are unaware, an X-Qlusive is an event dedicated to an artist or to a specific kind of sound in the harder styles. Many artists have been graced with this honor, namely legends such as Technoboy, Wildstylez, D-Block & S-te-Fan, The Prophet, Showtek and others. There were also X-Qlusive events celebrating Dutch, Italian and German sounds, with only artists from those countries from start to finish.
Phuture Noize has been on the scene for a decade already, and has been a really big name in the last few years. In the beginning Phuture Noize was a duo, and started with their first release back in 2009, but it took a couple years for a famed label to pick them up. This happen in 2011 when the now defunct Hardcopy imprint took them on board. In the following year, the label had its demise, and many of its artists moved over to Anarchy, a Dirty Workz sub label for heavier Hardstyle that didn’t fit in the main label. There they released quite a few singles and EP’s and two albums. After the second one, the duo split, with Marco carrying the torch onwards. He then released a third album, Pursuit Of Thunder, establishing Phuture Noize as a big name due to the unique sounds in it. One year later, in 2018, Q-dance picked him up for the release of Black Mirror Society, and next thing you know it, Marco was on the highlight of the Hardstyle scene.
Fast forward a few years and Marco has gone through all major festivals, all while working tirelessly in the studio to push an album and a deluxe edition for it, two anthems, high level collaborations, preparing and performing live shows around his Black Mirror Society concept and unique shows like The Spotlight at last year’s Defqon.1 Gathering. He’s at the top of his game, and has an extremely innovative approach to music making, making him a very good candidate for the honor of hosting an X-Qlusive!
