Big room royalty W&W and 3 Are Legend have joined forces for this summer’s anthem, in a huge, powerful track entitled “Khaleesi”.
Willem van Hanegem and Ward van der Harst are, along with Blasterjaxx, one of the scene’s most proemient duos. Boasting a plenitude of major releases in their discography, a full studio album, and an important label in today’s panorama of the dance music world, W&W are slowly forging their path to become legends.
And speaking of which, their collaborators on this endeavor are none other than a trio of big room masterminds: Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike along with Steve Aoki compose the supergroup known as 3 Are Legend. Although they haven’t done much from a producing standpoint, their shows at major festivals always manage to grab the attention on thousands. Combining this kind of power with W&W’s tried and tested formula, the result was bound to be massive.
And massive it was: “Khaleesi” (Game of Thrones fans, rejoice!) is a huge track. It starts out with an orchestral melody, featuring choir vocals which turn into huge saw synths. The drop is nothing short of colossal, and distances itself from the melody introduced at the start. The breakdown brings some of the initial elements into play, and carries them over to the second huge drop, this time with the initial melody and much more familiar to the ID track that has been circulating in sets around the world.
