The Chainsmokers and Illenium had been teasing this collab, a song called “Takeaway” which features the singer Lennon Stella, for a while, and now it was finally released.
Drew Taggart – who is part of the duo of DJs and Producers The Chainsmokers with Alex Pall – also sings in “Takeaway” in similarity with various other The Chainsmokers’ songs such as “Closer” featuring Halsey, “Paris”, “Sick Boy”, “All We Know” with Phoebe Ryan or “This Feeling” with Kelsea Ballerini.
Illenium – Nicholas D. Miller’s stage name – is also a DJ and Producer, whose better known songs are “Fractures” featuring Nevve, “Feel Good” with Gryffin and Daya, “Crawl Outta Love” featuring Annika Wells, “It’s All On You” with Liam O’Donnell, “Leaving” or the recent song “Good Things Fall Apart” with Jon Bellion.
Lennon Stella is a 19 year-old Canadian singer and songwriter who, besides from the duo Lennon & Maisy with her sister, has already released songs of her own such as “Bad”, “La Di Da” or “Like Everybody Else” and has collaborated with Jonas Blue and Liam Payne on the song “Polaroid”.
On the music video you can see various footages of all the artists featured in the track, as well as a view through the city of New York and some of its monuments such as the Statue of Liberty or the Vessel at Hudson Yards.
