On the beginning of this month, the eXperience concept was announced: a series of events that the organization defined as: “a new experience of music, art and fun is about to arrive in Portugal“. Following the confirmations of Culoe De Song and Davide Squillace, the name of Nic Fanciulli appears to close the poster of an event that will take place in the Castle of Santa Maria da Feira on June 2.
Already nicknamed by some fans like the Portuguese Cercle, eXperience promises, once again citing the organizers, “to take us on a journey back in time, mixing the amazing stage of Santa Maria da Feira’s Castle with the best electronic music“. The choice of a mythical site such as the medieval castle serves the purpose of giving ravers unlikely venues that make electronic music leave out of its natural habitat, the nightclub, offering the possibility of an experience of abstraction from the daily routine and artistic liberation in an open and free space.
The event will be held from 6 pm to 12 pm, and the order of the three performances has already been announced: the South African Culoe De Song, who has been through Blanco Beach, Industria and Romando Privé, is the first to go on stage at 6 pm. The Italian Davide Squillace, with a long experience in Portugal at clubs like Kremlin and The Loft and festivals like Azurara Beach Party or BPM, is followed at 8 pm. Finally, at 10 pm, the British Nic Fanciulli, who released his latest work, the EP Understand, in February, and went through Portugal the last time at BPM Festival last year.
Thus, Santa Maria da Feira’s Castle is the first ‘improbable stage’ of a series of events that promises to be another step towards the elevation of electronic music to the status of plural art in correlation with other forms of creative expression. Tickets are already available on Ticketline.
