REZZ doesn’t stop!

After launching last August her second album “Certain Kind of Magic“, the Canadian born in Ukraine seems to have taken advantage of this period of lesser fest activity that follows the end of the summer to turn to the production of new tracks in studio.

After suggesting on her twitter account that a new song was coming soon, here is “Divinity”, a remix from the 2014 track of Porter Robinson.

If, in the original track, we have a mellow and smooth synth-pop accompanied by a very penetrating female vocal, REZZ completely distorts that melodic feature so typical of Robinson’s tracks. Without removing it from the sound material, she interweaves it with her heavy and dominant low-bass, which is her brand image. In addition, she brilliantly took advantage of the base melody of the track to create a kind of hypnotic riff also very common in her tracks, as well as was able to make the vocal equally hypnotic, contrary to the more festive inclination of the original track. In short, REZZ, without overturning the original chords, gave a personal imprint to the track, so that we immediately associate it with her unique mixing style of downtempo and dubstep.

Also remember that recently the producer affiliated with Mau5trap was confirmed at the EDC Mexico 2019 festival, along with names like Skrillex, Paul van Dyk, Kaskade or DJ Snake.
