RL Grime is to many, one of the greatest masterminds in what comes to bass music and not only. His “VOID” Album was somewhat unexpected yet beautiful, making his fans daydream. 4 years later he does it again with the release of “NOVA”.

The Los Angeles based artist had previously described this album as different from the first, coming from “obsessive ideation on growth, and on transition” portraying the album as a way to move forward and leave behind what already existed.

<blockquote class=”twitter-tweet” data-lang=”en”><p lang=”en” dir=”ltr”>ok here we go. after what has felt like a lifetime of waiting, i am proud to present the tracklist for NOVA. I’ve spent the last 3 years of my life working on this and I know how long the wait has been <a href=”https://t.co/Mnp5DHImyd”>pic.twitter.com/Mnp5DHImyd</a></p>&mdash; RL GRIME (@RLGRIME) <a href=”https://twitter.com/RLGRIME/status/1007670773933223936?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>June 15, 2018</a></blockquote>

Ty Dolla $ign, Chief Keef, 24hrs, Daya and TK Kraviz are just some of the incredible artists that RL has collaborated with for this album, giving each track an exciting fusion of styles.

As mentioned previously, the debut LP “VOID” is very different from this one. He talks about the pressure and the expectancy existent when creating the second album, and on a recent post describes how he felt in the past couple years.

From this unbelievable 15 track album we can most definitely highlight “Reims“, “Pressure“, “Era” and “Shoulda“, the true core of the LP , with these tracks acting sort of like the core of it, being pure and melodious, making us witness the deepest inwards feelings

On one hand the album has this deep and sentimental feel to it but on the other hand the features with rappers give the album a diverse feel and the final tracks give us this idea of a happy ending with “I Wanna Know” together with Daya, and “UCLA” together with 24hrs, being more joyful anthems.

To sum everything up, NOVA is beautiful, a true masterpiece, a journey through emotions and a delight to the ears. The artist’s level of detail is mindblowing and doesn’t go unnoticed. This will for sure be album of the year to many people. So, are you ready to listen to NOVA by RL Grime??
