Will Ultra Music Festival remain located at the iconic Bayfront Park, or will they have to relocate somewhere else?
That is the question of the moment considering the fact that a petition, asking to get back access to the Bayfront Park has been going around, with Miami citizens showing great discontent with the fact that the park has been closed for over 100 days, aftermath of Festivals like Ultra Music Festival and Rolling Loud.
By the time it reached Frank Carollo, Miami Comissioner, the petition had gathered over 1,100 signatures, a number that was too high to be ignored.
Unfortunatelly for Ultra, the decision made by Carollo was that they would have to pay an annual fee of 2 Million USD if they wished to keep playing at the park, or relocate. This number is more than double the ammount that UMF usually pays to have their festival at Bayfront Park, and Ultra will have to reach an agreement with the Agency in charge of the park.
No comments have yet been made on the matter, both from Ultra and Rolling Loud’s side. Hopefully none of the shows will have to relocate, as Bayfront Park is without a doubt an iconic place for people worldwide.
