Bluedot Festival will be returning for four days of science and music, to Jodrell Bank Observatory, Cheshire from July 19 to 22.
This year’s headliners are The Chemical Brothers alongside The Flaming Lips and Future Islands, in the shadow of one of the world’s largest radio telescopes Lovell Telescope. Bluedot’s opening night will have the Halle Orchestra perform live against a backdrop of footage from the original Blue Planet television series.
It is the first time that the festival extends to four days and will be counting with artists like Booka Shade, Little Dragon, “New Forms” Live by Roni Size, a tribute to the legendary duo Daft Punk called Human After All and so much more!
Ben Robinson, the Bluedot festival director, hopes to break “the boundaries between science, culture, art and technology but to also highlight the beauty and fragility of our planet Earth, and what a better way to achieve this by opening proceedings with such a remarkable and enlightening spectacle. It’s going to be truly incredible and a real festival highlight.”
The festival will have live science experiments, talks held by world-class scientists and Q&A sessions with the world’s leading researchers.
