The weekly radioshow hosted by the dutch DJ Armin van Buuren has reached the massive milestone of 800 episodes and with the celebration 16 years on the air comes a Worlwide Celebration Tour that will be presented from some of the best festival’s in world, as it was already confirmed ASOT will host it’s own stage later this year at both Tomorrowland in Europe and Ultra Music Festival in the USA.

During the last 16 Years, A State Of Trance went from being a regular radioshow aired from a Radio Studio in Amsterdam to a Global Phenomenon that gathers millions of listeners worldwide every week on a 2 hour radio broadcast and takes the world by storm with the massive celebrations it hosted all across the globe. With an estimated 37 million listeners, spread over more than 84 countries, ASOT is broadcast on over 100 FM radio-stations and globally through satellite and internet radio being one of the most popular and beloved weekly dance radio shows in the world. Armin van Buuren & A State Of Trance won the award ‘Best Mix Radio Show’ at the Winter Music Conference in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014! The ASOT Birthday Celebration took the radio show to whole new dimension, something easy to understand when you look at some of the places it went in the past years, for example the A State of Trance 650 ‘New Horizons’ world tour visited 9 countries, always trying to keep the radio element alive, 5 of the shows were broadcast live,  with shows in the cities of Moscow, Almaty, Yekateringburg, Utrecht, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, and Miami, the tour was one of the biggest trance tours ever attempted.  The year after with the ASOT 600 celebrations Armin took the radioshow on a Global tour once again and during 10 week, ASOT held 12 shows in 11 different countries. Gathering more than 200,000 visitors and millions of online listeners, including sold out shows in Madrid, Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Minsk, Sofia, Beirut, Kuala Lumpur, Mumbai, Miami, Guatemala, New York and finally Den Bosch. Armin van Buuren ended his successful A State of Trance 600 world tour with the grand finale in Den Bosch, The Netherlands. Nearly 30,000 visitors from 80 different countries travelled to the Brabanthallen for the final event of the tour, which was the biggest trance event in Europe.

With the motto and Anthem “I Live For That Energy” produced by Armin van Buuren himself, this year’s celebrations will kick off today, 18th of February in the massive venue Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, The Netherlands, this “A State Of Trance 800 Festival” is 2017’s Biggest Trance Festival, an event that will have no less than 4 stages each one with a different theme from which the attendees and listeners of the worldwide live broadcast can choose from.
