Acclaimed Italian hitmaker Alex Gaudino rises with a track inspired by Robert Miles’ iconic Children called Remember Me
A hugely successful trendsetter, 2000’s icon and much more Alessandro Alfonso Fortunato Gaudino hails from Salermo, Italy, but we know him as Alex Gaudino. Responsible for some of the biggest italo-house hits of the 90’s, Alessandro built a mega career: Destination Calabria feat Crystal Waters, Watch Out feat Shena, What a Feeling feat. Kelly Rowland and two studio albums have given Alex a true legend status.
The 2010’s were very generous to him as well, makng some noise with Lights Go Out, I’m Movin’, Never Give Up On Love and more, collaborating frequently with now defunt Nari & Milani, Zak Waters and Bottai, precisely with whom Alex is releasing his latest effort, Remember Me.
From the moment one hits play, the inspiration from Robert Miles’ Children is obvious. The dreamy piano riff is masterfully combined with powerful male vocals backed up by a natural build up rising to a somewhat anti-climactic – yet pleasant – drop, combining elements from Brazilian bass with blippy and crisp synths. The vocal work continues through the breakdown, crystal clear and polished, thus giving the track a summer hit vibe, ready to make you move.
