We’ve been waiting for this one for a while now and probably so have you. Spencer Brown just released his second long-mix album: Stream Of Consciousness.
That’s right, the ultimate ID master has just released one of his biggest projects to date. His second mix album came out this Friday, January the 31st, on Anjunabeats, and after the over 300 versions Spencer made of the track, the final one is some fine piece of work. We can only wonder what the other 299+ sounded like.
We can only tell that the final version is simply beautiful. Containing Spencer’s characteristic sounds, while having, at the same time, some of the freshest twists we’ve heard in the scene. Escaping the usual single tracks that you hear separately, this album is supposed to be heard as a whole. An entire journey that you should listen while studying, while at work, while doing anyhting at all. We can guarantee you will enjoy it.
Dance music has gravitated toward blasting radio-edited singles on streaming platforms. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, it’s simply not the way I want to present my art. It’s certainly a mental challenge getting over the fact that if I play ‘the game,’ I may get more streams/popularity. But I’d rather make exactly what I want to make and have my work deeply resonate with loving fans.
