Thomas Gold and Kosling show everyone why Progressive House’s melodies are eternal with new release “Escape” on Revealed Recordings.
With a career spanning over 20 years, Frank Thomas Knebel-Janssen – better known as Thomas Gold – is short on things he still has do to: The proficient Berlin-native has released tracks under Spinnin, Armada, Axtone, Size, Protocol, Revealed and the list goes on forever. Add that to a seemingly infinite portfolio of compilations and remixes and you’ve got yourself one of the longest standing careers on the big leagues of dance music stages around the world. A true legend of the game, Thomas is a tastemaker in his own right, defining sounds and categories with his personality and influence visible through music.
His co-producer on “Escape” is new boy Kosling. Venturing onto the dance music world only two years ago in 2018, with his debut single “Believe” being released on Proximity – gathering 1 million plays in a single month. He followed that up with releases on Protocol, Revealed and even Steve Angello’s admirable SIZE Records. Now with two years of experience under his belt, Kosling is sure to take over 2020 and what better way to do so than “Escape”?
Starting out with dreamy plucks and ambience sounds, David Shane’s brilliant vocals shine throughout the entirety of the track. As with all progressive house tunes, nostalgic and emotionally-charged lyrics carry us to the main chorus, in a blissful, upbeat and spine-tingling drop. The breakdown lets David’s voice and ad-libs soar high once more, recapturing some of the previous elements in the second drop.
“Escape” takes us back to when progressive house was all the rage. But just like big room, it refuses to die, still captivating the hearts and arm hair of every single listener! Check out the track in the link down below!
