British DJ/Producer Kryder joined forces with the Italian legend for a groovy and house-y remix of Moguai’s classic hit “ACIIID”
Do you dislike techno? Think it’s too boring? Want the same underground vibe but with a LOT more groove? Well, then Kryder is your man. Ever since the Hertfordshire native broke through Tiesto’s Musical Freedom all the way back in 2011 with his single “K2”, he has built on his success steadily, evolving to be arguably one of the biggest names in the house scene, featuring singles on Armada, Spinnin Records, Protocol Recordings, Axtone and many more. His own label, Sosumi Records, supports brand new groovy talent, ensuring that Kryder’s legacy and groove is safe until the end of times.
Benny Benassi, Kryder’s partner on this endeavor has been a legend of the game since seemingly forever. Hailing from Milan, he started smashing dancefloors in 1985 and now has a career longevity that only a handful of DJs can brag about. Although “Satisfaction” was by far his greatest hit ever, Benny has constantly reinvented himself thus managing to stay at the summit of the dance music mountain even today.
Back in 2014, Moguai sampled the classic 1998 movie classic “Blade” and made a thumping big room remake called “ACIIID” – released on Spinnin Records – which achieved a great degree of success on its own. But 5 years have since passed, and now it was time for a refresh to keep the fabled melody alive, and that’s exactly what Kryder and Benny Benassi did.
The track kicks off with the melody right away, slowly building up to the epic climax. Although the drop is VERY similar to Moguai’s interpretation, the kick is far deeper and it has a far bigger rumble. Add percussion and Kryder’s unique groove and vibe and you’ve got yourself a dancefloor banger. The breakdown grabs the original “ACIIID” vocal for a bit and keeps the groove going into the second drop, ending a 2:53 minute rave in your ears.
