There are already two confirmations for the third eXperience event. This time, the party will take place at Leça da Palmeira, at an old factory of Ramirez, a famous Portuguese canning company, between 4 pm of 7th December and 3 am of 8th. After sets of Nic Fanciulli or Hot Since 82 in previous editions, the organization confirmed this week the Belgian rising star Charlotte de Witte and the old quality Detroit techno of Stacey Pullen.
Charlotte’s career is short, but the Ghent-born is a regular presence in Portugal at the last two years. After a burning set at Kremlin in March 2017, de Witte played at Industria, Brunch Electronik Lisboa and at two LX Music parties. Her style is obscure, intense, with plenty female ominous vocals and a rough minimal beat. This year, de Witte have founded her own label, KNTXT, where she released the EP Liquid Show with Chris Liebing and will release another two EPs, Pressure and Selected, next November.
Stacey Pullen is one of the innovators of the second wave of Detroit techno, along with Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderon (which will act at LX Music’s Halloween party). He calls his own style as “progressive”, between techno and Chicago house. In the 80’s, Derrick May opened the door of DJing and producing to Stacey and the Silent Phase imprint launched him in the 90’s to the world of underground music. This year he joined to Mason Collective to release It’s Time EP. In the last few years, Stacey hasn’t produced that much: he counted in 2013 with the EP Any Which Way and in 2016 the album Rok.
