The DJ and Producer KSHMR just released today a brand new song, called “My Best Life”, in collaboration with the singer and songwriter Mike Waters.
For the announcement, KSHMR shared on his social media a video with a snippet of the song and probable music video and stated that “this song came from me [KSHMR] and [Mike Waters] talking about social media and how it’s become a tool for measuring ourselves. We talked about how it can be freeing to submit to the fact that somebody will always have nicer things / more money / etc and from there the lyrics came together”
Mike Waters also shared a few words following the same video as KSHMR, where the singer stated: “[KSHMR] and I wrote this song about being grateful for what you have – it can be hard to see people more successful than you (…) but if you don’t stop and appreciate what you have then it can really eat you up. (…) Be happy for those who made it work for them but most importantly be happy for yourself, and appreciate the position you’re in. (…) You get one life, but it’s yours, and you can make it whatever you want.”
KSHMR and Mike Waters presented us a song with summer vibes, cheerful rhythms and a thoughtful and inspiring meaning on its lyrics.
The DJ and Producer – whose better known songs are “Secrets” with Tiësto and Vassy, “Karate” with R3HAB, “Wildcard” with Sidnie Tipton or “Dharma” with Headhunterz – will be performing at the Portuguese festival Dancefloor, at Altice Forum Braga, on the 26th of July.
