The Italian Luigi Madonna is returning to Portugal, this time to play in Santo Tirso, at Pedra do Couto for the second time after a performance in November 2017. In Portugal, he has also played on stages such as BPM Festival, Sound Waves, Kremlin or Gare.

The napolitano began his career as a DJ in 1996, at the age of 14, influenced by Louis Vega, Frankie Knuckles and David Morales. The development of a more personal style came at the same time as the minimal techno boom, making names such as Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills, Chris Liebing or Marco Carola influencing Madonna’s style. His career was catapulted into stardom when he was invited to play at the legendary techno club Old River Park. There he shared a cabin with names like Joseph Capriati or Ben Sims. His most famous works are the EPs in the famous Plus 8 by Richie Hawtin and Drumcode by Adam Beyer. In February, he released his latest production, the EP Enfant Terrible in Second State of the German duo Pan-Pot.

His always-present enthusiasm and smile contaminate a powerful and vibrant techno, ranging from industrial to minimal techno, with a dry and imposing bass, lively basslines, vocal snippets in amongst the metallic tones, always ready to try something new that surprises the clubbers.

In this journey to the north of Portugal, Luigi Madonna will have the company of BIIA, Tiago AZ, John Oliver, Los Bravos and Artur Miami.
