The organization of the festival Waking Life revealed this Thursday another 23 names for the 3rd edition of an event that takes place annually in the medieval village of Crato, in the district of Portalegre, this year between 14 and 19 August.
In a space where music, creativity, integration (people with reduced mobility can take a free ticket in order to take a companion) and environmental responsibility, this new release of names is based on an eclectic set, not only musically (although the ambient, minimal techno and minimal trance prevails) but also nationally.
From the obscure and experimental techno of the Italian Adiel, to the minimal of the British Horror Inc. and the Romanian Raresh, to the rebuilder of the rhythms of marginal cultures Ibu Selva, to the techno sometimes emotional sometimes industrial of the Norwegian Skatebård, to the ambassador of the Detroit beats Terrence Dixon, to the hypnotic low bpm of the Brazilian Xique-Xique, and also to the resident of Lux Frágil Dexter, just to highlight some artists, is a lineup that has received praise from fans around the world.
Waking Life is a festival that sets itself apart from conventional festivals due to the combination of cultural with social and ecological concerns. The human conviviality with the nonhuman, the famous lake of the enclosure as a place of seclusion and meditation, the minimum production of garbage (the ravers pay a deposit of 10 euros that is returned if all the trash produced is delivered to the organization in bags) , the opening of the stage to the talent present in the public and the aversion to social networks are some of the festival brand images.
The first and second round of general tickets is already sold out. The 3rd and 4th phases are still available on the official website of the event.
