HYPER, a festival promoter mainly in the techno genre in Oporto, announced through its social networks that German DJ and producer Rødhåd will be the special guest of the promoter’s next party, to take place in March probably in Industria Club (the venue where HYPER events usually take place).

DJ since the late 1990s, Rødhåd drew attention to Berlin’s famous nightclub Berghain in 2010, where he has since then become a regular presence. 2012 was a key year for the rise of the German: it was the year in which he released his first “1984” record on the Dystopian (itself founded, with the name of the first EP clearly in tune with the name of the label), a work that was praised by names like Ben Klock, Jeff Mills, Laurent Garnier or Sven Väth. In the same year, he won Resident Advisor’s “Break Through Artist of the Year” prize. In 2017, he released his first album “Anxious”, whose tour passed through Lux Frágil. In Portugal he has also played at Gare, Festival Forte, Neopop, Lisboa Electronica and Lisb-ON.

His sonorities oscillate between a low tempo and a powerful intensity. He has a style almost always deep and melancholic, going through dub, house and techno, and marked by percussive grooves and a loopy and hypnotic melody.

It is expected that soon HYPER will reveal the names that will accompany Rødhåd, as well as information about the sale of tickets.
