Last Saturday we had the first part of Kalimodjo ’s 17th birthday event. A well rounded night with amazing performances from both national and international acts.

To start the night off we had GROOVEKID, warming us up to what was meant to be an unforgettable night. Right after, DJ NOKIN gave us a set that rocked the house as the crowd was starting to get bigger and bigger.

The biggest act of the night came at around 1h45 with Tony Colman, or as you might know him, London Elektricity. Co-founder and CEO of Hospital Records, one of the most impactful drum and bass labels. The set was really well rounded, both giving melodic tunes and some hard hitting bangers. Everyone went wild with Tony’s energy.

The third national act of the night was the Bass Brothers’ set with a special participation from MC Molin, delivering a hard hitting set that did not stay behind the international acts. Portugal was represented at the highest level.

To close off the night, we had the last international act of this event. Optical managed to still make everyone jump at the late hours with a set full of some of the best drum and bass out there. Some great tunes with incredible buildups made the last set of the night look like the first due to all the energy present.

The loyalty of the fans is something really noticeable with Kalimodjo. A full house was something that did not surprise anyone. Great vibes, good production and a ton of good music. This was only the first event, there are still two more to go. The next one will be on the 16th of February. We hope to see you there!
