Trance legend Armin Van Buuren performed on this weekend’s F1 Mexico Grand Prix, in which Lewis Hamilton came out as a five-time world champion.

After Hardwell performed at the same location last year, 2018 was Armin’s turn. The Dutch DJ/Producer had a packed weekend, earning exclusive access to one of the most famous motorsports in the world.

Armin shared his experience via Instagram Stories, as well as some photos on his Instagram Feed. Before the race, Armin had time to teach a quick DJ lesson to Team Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo. Although judging by his mixing skills, Ricciardo should stick to racing.

After the race, Armin perfomed a very energetic set to a not-so energetic crowd. Even though a few tracks managed to connect with the audience, other completely fell through. Still, major props to Armin. Heineken, who was also the Grand Prix main sponsor, sponsored the whole shebang.

As for the race itself, fellow Dutchman Max Verstappen won the race, with Scuderia Ferrari drivers Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen closing out the podium. Lewis Hamilton snatched his 5th drivers title, making him only the 3rd driver ever to do so in the history of F1.
