The popular American city club of Chicago will close doors to 5 February 2019.
The main reason for this closure is, according to owner Lucas King, by the recent expansion of the West Loop neighbourhood of the city and the Fulton Market District. “These past few months will be a celebration of past memories and a toast to the future” said Lucas King, leaving even a thanks “to all the fans, artists, employees, agents, promoters and managers who have been in the path of the club”. The owner of Chicago spoke of the future until MID the closure: “as a token of our appreciation, we will present several special events”.
Opened in 2010 by the founders Lucas King and Nick Karounos, the Club has received over the years names like Adam Beyer, Calvin Harris, Ice Cube, Kaskade, Diplo and several others. Opened briefly during the boom of dance music, Skrillex did the first show in your Chicago MID. The main American electronic music names passed through space.
The two owners have even more two major clubs in the North American region, the Prysm and Concord, in order to open a new space, not to create a gap of difference of electronic music in the United States, compared to the East Coast.
