After we give you the last details about the possibility of cancellation of Defqon.1 Australia here and here, we bring more news. The organization of the festival has been contacted so that the venue of the event is changed and continues to happen in Australia.
The leader of ATC Greens, Shane Rattenbury, contacted the organization by letter and volunteered to gather all future Defqon.1 events in a new location. His suggestion is for the event to happen in the capital of the country, Canberra. In this letter, he added that it may be necessary to use pill-testing throughout the duration of the festival.
“I would like to encourage you to consider relocating future festivals and events to Canberra where a pill testing facility may be established to minimize drug harm for festival patrons.
The Greens want to do our best to ensure festival-goers have a good time in the safest ways possible, rather than taking avoidable risks.”
Although Gladys Berejiklian has assured that pill-testing was not an option, Shane Rattenbury says it will be a good idea, and has assured that this system has already been very useful in other festivals held in the area.
So far Q-Dance has not spoken on the subject, so we will have to wait to see if the festival will have a new location.
