D.O.D released another track called “Glow” on Axwell’s label, Axtone. The British DJ/Producer, whose real name is Dan O’Donnell, is known for being the pioneer of the “future jack” genre, which combines the repetitive nature of house with blips and heavy basslines, in order to create a truly unique sound.
The announcement was made on Axtone’s social media pages, in which the characteristic Axtone unique cover art is displayed, showing a white glowing figure climbing down stairs of a very dark building. (You can see it here)
As for “Glow”, no teasers have been officially released, but a bit of “digging around” reveals that the track has been in the works for at least a year, as D.O.D played what seems to be the finished track in Protocol Recordings’ ADE party last year. The track has D.O.D’s style all over it, with a progressive kind of sound mixed with the usual blips and heavy hitting basslines. A vocal is added in the breakdown leading to the second drop, which complements the dark vibe of the track and elevates it to a whole new level.
The track is set to be released today, 25th of May. Be sure to follow our Wide Future playlist on Spotify to be one of the first to listen!
