This Monday, the Dutch duo, Willem van Hanegem & Ward van der Harst, better known as W&W released a brand new collab, their first one, with the hardcore DJ and producer, Darren Styles.
W&W doesn’t need presentation, they have been in the scene since 2007 and have already released a lot of big room tracks on Revealed Recordings, Spinnin’ Records and on their own label, Mainstage Music. Recently they released “Supa Dupa Fly 2018“, a huge and old ID.
In other hand, the duo has created a new identity last year called NWYR, a new upcoming trance artist, who has already recieved a lot of positive comments and have a massive fan base.
Darren Styles is a Hardcore DJ, Record Producer and Song Writer. Darren has been on the dance scene for over 13 years despite, having started DJ-ing in the world of underground Hardcore at just 16. He started producing and writing tracks with Paul Force in 1993 and they rapidly become two of the biggest names on a new scene which was just beginning. Over the next few years they continued writing and producing together and were responsible for a host of Hardcore classics – they were the first hardcore DJ’s to produce a Mix for Pete Tong’s Essential Mix on Radio One.
They gained awards as best producers, best DJ’s and best tracks in numerous Hardcore Awards.
The collab is called “Long Way Down” and it has the vocals of Giin, which is a singer and songwriter from New Zealand. It has a powerful melody, as we are used to in W&W and Darren Styles’s tracks. The vocals fits perfectly in the track. In fact, it makes the track even better!
The videoclip is based on some kind of anime and it’s really beautiful indeed.
What do you think of the track? Tell us your opinion in the comments!
