That is a wrap, NeoPop Festival returns to Viana do Castelo for the .. edition, with an incredible lineup spread across four days. The festival will happen in the nautical city of Viana do Castelo in the north of Portugal from the 8-11th of August.

The lineup is officially closed, yesterday the promotores announced the last batch of names with Nina Kraviz, Paul Ritc, Marco Carola and Ricardo Villalobos headlining the closing wave of artists. However, the surprises didn’t end there, NeoPop announced a fourth day to the already usual three day festivities, the fourth day is free for everyone with St. Germain, Mr Herbert Quain headlining and Rui Vargas opening the festival, while Ivan Smagghe closes the first day.

Among the incredible lineup are two brand new festival premiers, Ricardo Villalobos and Dopplereffekt (live). Ricardo is without a doubt one of the most known names in techno. Starting his career in the late 80s, but it wasn’t until the late 90s that he really becomes known with tracks released under Ladomat 2000, Lo-Fi Stereo or Perlon. Known for the development of micro-house and minimal techno, Villalobos played with Richie Hawtin and Luciano in front of over 300 mil in the Berlin’s Love Parade. Last year (2017) Ricardo Villalobos returns to music production with the release of his album “Empirical House“.

Dopplereffekt is a lesser known name, but not a lesser talent by any means. The duo hails from Detroit, being one of the most mestiorous and defying projects in electronic music. Started by Gerald Donald and latter joined by To-Nhan Bertel. After three years the duo released “Cellular Automata”. The duo will premier at the NeoPop on the Thursday 10th of August at the Anti Stage.

Other artists announced are Ben Klock, Jeff Mills, Joseph Capriati, Len Faki, Josh Wink, Adriatique, Agents of Time and so many more. Tickets are still on sale and can be purchased here.
