There is no stopping Diplo.
In addition to performing solo, being part of the trio Major Lazer, and still a member of the duo Jack Ü, the recently announced line up of the 2018 edition of the Governors Ball festival, which runs from June 1-3 at Randall’s Island, reveals another project of the American DJ.
This time, Diplo joins Mark Ronson – who everyone knows about the uptown Funk hit with pop singer Bruno Mars – and both release Silk City, a pair that apparently had been spoken by Diplo already during last summer , in which, in an interview with GQ magazine, he said that he and Mark Ronson were in the studio producing an album in the style of Jack Ü, but with disco music.
It is speculated that the group’s name was inspired by a restaurant in Philadelphia, where Diplo worked at the beginning of his career but, for now, there is more information about this new project. We have to wait for the first weekend of June, and for the Silk City premiere on the stage.
