It’s that wonderful time of the year again. Everything is colourful, people start feeling the heat, the sun is shining, bikinis and bath suits start to show up and good old dance music starts to flow all across Europe. That’s right, festival season has arrived!

There are numerous festivals throughout Europe and it is, definitely, a tough task to choose one over the other, so, Wide Future did your work for you. Here are 10 of the best Dance Music festivals in Europe:

Awakenings – Spaarnewoude, The Netherlands | Prices start at 45€

We start with a festival for a specific taste as its slogan is “This is Techno”. Located in The Netherlands, more specifically in Spaarnwoude, Awakenings is one of the prime Techno festivals. Set to be on the 24th and 25th of June, this festival has over 100 artists over 8 areas for the two days. There are lots of other activities and attractions in the festival site, so, if you are a techno lover this is a can’t miss.

BPM Festival – Portimão, Portugal | Prices start at 145€

On to the only Portuguese located festival in our list. Algarve was a surprising location for the festival but it promises to be astonishing as the already revealed first phase of the festival is beastly to say the least. Not much is known about the festival at this point but it will take place during mid-September (14-17).

Creamfields – Daresbury, Great Britain | Prices start at 185£

Creamfields is one of those festivals that don’t need much explaining as it is one of the most emblematic dance scene events all over the globe. Set to be on the last week of August, Creamfields offers top notch artists throughout several stages, including some label stages. It is by far the best British dance music festival and one of the most genuine. The Daresbury festival is sure to amaze all of the world again being it live or through its usual streams.

Defqon. 1 – Biddinghuizen, The Netherlands | Prices start at 69€

Our second Netherlands’ based festival is, most definitely, unique when compared with all the others from this list as it is the place to be for all headbangers. Having started in 2003, the festival has become the cream of the crop for hardstyle fans. This year, the 15th edition is celebrated and Q-dance wants to make it special with a Defqon. 1 legends stage. A dream for hardstyle aficionados in the world.

Electric Love – Salzburgrin, Austria | Prices start at 69€

This Austrian festival has been rising every higher having now reached its 5th edition. Every year, its line-up is filled with all the big names from the industry. The festival tries to have various sub-genres as it has several stages dedicated to the different musical styles, including a Q-Stage in collaboration with Q-Dance. From the typical House to DnB passing by Dubstep, Trance, Techno, etc. it is a complete experience that everyone should try.

Let It Roll – Milovice, Czech Republic | Prices start at 65€

We follow an all-around event with a Full-on Drum and Bass festivity. Let It Roll auto denominate themselves as “The Biggest Drum and Bass festival in the world”, and rightly so. The Czech festival doesn’t just say that as a cliché slogan, it backs it up with 9+ stages, over 300 artists, 13+ label nights and insane parties and attractions in the festival site. This is, without a doubt, the prime Drum and Bass festival in the planet and there was no way it wouldn’t enter this list.

Luminosity Beach Festival – Bloemendaal, The Netherlands | Prices start at 45€

We have now reached the Trance department. Set for its 10th Edition, the Dutch festival has been a tremendous success, thus making its way onto our list. This year’s edition offers an all-star line-up for all Trance addicts to enjoy the best beach party of their year from the 22nd to the 25th of June.

Mysteryland – Haarlemmermeer, The Netherlands | Prices start at 74,5€

Going to its 25th Edition (!!!), Mysteryland is now a multicontinental festival with editions in Chile and the United States of America, however, the main festival still remains in the Netherlands. This year’s edition will count with 16 areas that have several different styles of music including the above mentioned Trance, Techno, Drum and Bass and even Hardcore. Mysteryland is especially appreciated for its exotic, state of the art stages. With a huge campsite and over 200 artists, this edition promises to be otherworldly.

Tomorrowland – Boom, Belgium | Prices start at 94€

What can be said about Tomorrowland that you don’t know? It is, generally, regarded as one the 2 best festivals in the world. Everybody shows up at Tomorrowland (everyone but Hardwell LOL). The mystique surrounding the event and all of festival site is known worldwide. With a ton of areas, ridiculous number of artists and labels, an ever growing stage production and the Dreamville campsite, there is no denying that it is one of the best festivals in the history of music itself. Everyone should go, at least once.

Ultra Europe – Split, Croatia | Prices start at 169€

We finish this list with the European version of the Ultra brand. Split in Croatia has been the stage to this festivity and it has been growing. Offering a plethora of artists in several different stages and even in numerous different party concepts. Split throughout three days (no pun intended), the festival offers a variety of styles for everyone tastes, thus justifying the investment in Europe.
