A sad announcement has taken over the dance music scene this Saturday. The legendary Rusko – real name Christopher Mercer – communicated to his followers in social media that he’s canceling his Summer tour due to disease.

The 32 year-old English dubstep and bass music producer has been diagnosed with a gastric lymphoma, which means he has a specific type of stomach cancer. It’s obviously a very serious health issue, but it can be treated in the majority of cases, depending on its progression. The bass master confirmed that he will be receiving treatment, which is great news.

However, and in spite of his condition, he promised new music to the fans, meaning that not everything is bad for his career.

From the Wide Future staff, here are our best wishes for the recovery of one of the pioneers of bass music worldwide. Keep your head up, Christopher!
