The year 2016 was a success and 2017 is already being even more. The previous year, The Chainsmokers conquered the world with the huge musical hit “Don’t Let Me Down.” Since then the American duo has released several songs that have become habitual presence in music tops all over the world.
The song “Closer” has already reached 1 billion views on YouTube, while the theme “Paris” reached #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electric Songs chart, being the 5th theme of the duo to achieve this feat.
But the records do not stop here. Recently the duo joined the legendary group Coldplay and together collaborated on a track, which is one of the greatest musical hits of the year. The combination of Chris Martin’s powerful voice with the American duo’s melodies could only result in an impressive work. The song lyric video “Something Like This” reached the mark of 9 million hits in a 24-hour period, dethroning the previous record that belonged to Justin Bieber with the song What Do You Mean.
On April 7th, The Chainsmokers will release their new album “Memories … Do not open” and it sure will be another work of the pair to reach the world tops.
