The Chainsmokers are back in Portugal, this time to play at MEO Sudoeste. This marks the return of the duo to Portugal, since 2015 were they played at RFM Somnii.
The North-American reached Double Platinum with their original “Don’t let me Down”. Followed by “Closer”, which dominated the charts for 10 weeks, accumulating over 1 billion and half streams on Spotify. Their EP “Collage” was another hit which brought the duo three Grammy nominations in 2017: Best Revelation Artist, Best Performance by a Pop Duo/Group with the track “Closer” and best Dance track with “Don’t Let Me Down”
With the confirmation just announced, the American duo has long been expected to be back in Portugal and so was one of the most requested names for the 21st edition of the festival.
And so the request of many festivals was fulfilled. The authors of the hits “Don’t Let Me Down”, “Roses” and “Closer” have a scheduled trip to Zambujeira do Mar in August.
