Club 118, we go from bottom to top as Club 118 is the hottest nightlife space in Braga. Club 118 is widely regarded as Minho’s number 1 club as it welcomes its clients with amazing Deep House, Tech House and Techno vibes, even going further and exploring the roots of Dubstep, proving to be something unique in Portugal.

Companhia is set in a remodelled abandoned warehouse zone in freezing cold Covilhã. The nightclub from the Interior is often complimented about its sound quality – Regarded as the best in the country – and atmosphere as Techno, House and Afro-House are set to dominate its 3 rooms.

Eskada Vizela, Owned by the Eskada group, this club is not located in the center of a district as it is situated on the outskirts of Braga, in Vizela. Eskada differs from others on this list as it has a more mainstream approach when it comes to music. As for names, they take pride in booking some of the best national talent, with performers like Kura, Diego Miranda, Pete Tha Zouk, DJ Vibe, Club Banditz and many more.

Europa Sunrise, This capital located club has the advantage of not having to rival with others in this list. Often described as the best place to go after a night spent on Lux Frágil or Ministerium, Europa is definitely on the top tier of after-party clubs in the whole country.

Gare Porto, The partnerships with NeoPop have proved to make wonders for this northern giant as it is one of the prime destinations for Techno lovers all over the country, proved by the amazing show that Ben Klock put on Christmas day. Drum n’ Bass is also a strong presence in this Oporto nightclub as several Yellow Stripe Events and DnB sessions have taken place there. Names like Paco Osuna, Ace Ventura or Vidi Vici just prove how star studded this club can be.

Industria, Following Gare it is its neighbour Industria, also situated in Oporto. One of the elite clubs when it comes to Techno and House it is one of Porto’s main nightlife attractions as in 2016 it booked names as Subb-An, Traumer, national hero Carlos Manaça and the legendary Dubfire.

Lux Frágil, The only Portuguese club already on DJ Mag’s Top 100 list, Lux is the main reference for nightlife in the whole country. Containing several artists with a variety of styles, the riverside club has been a stage to the biggest names in the business – If you can name it, it has played here. Combining the amazing musical vibes with a stunning view in an open terrace it is considered by many to be the best nightclub in Portugal.

Ministerium, Right in the middle of the capital, Ministerium is considered by many underground experts to be the most underrated club in Portugal. It has been the place for the amazing Brunch Eletronik and Lisb-ON afterparties. Techno and House are the genres that dominate this nightlife giant that usually books several labels but can always pull a rabbit out of its hat like the legendary Jeff Mills.

Seven, The Cristiano Ronaldo owned nightclub is Bliss’s direct rival during the summer season. Extremely well located, the Vilamoura club is not shy in its variety of genres as it had a closing party with 31 (!!!) artists. 2016 Seven’s performers like Seth Troxler, Paco Osuna, Nina Kraviz, Jamie Jones, Benny Benassi and Loco Dice prove to be more than enough to get Wide Future’s seal of approval.

We could not end the list without giving honourable mentions to clubs such as Hardclub, Kiay Palace, Kremelin, Pedra do Couto, Club Heaven or Pacha Ofir which prove that Portugal is rich in nightlife experiences and should be taken more into account on the worldwide scene.
