It’s has been a long time since the English released new music out to the world. 6 years to be precise.
The virtual band was formed in 1998, by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. The band consists of four animated members: 2D (lead vocals, keyboard), Murdoc Niccals (bass guitar, vocals), Noodle (guitar, keyboard, and backing vocals) and Russel Hobbs (drums and percussion).
As we wait for the release of their new album due out later this year, we’ve received “Hallelujah Money,” a collaboration with UK singer-songwriter Benjamin Clementine. The new track is particularly politically charged, reflecting on a capitalist society in which money is idolized.
Listen below to the track, and wait eagerly for the new album!
