Mental health issues are no joke, and they are very common among our favorite artists, especially those who are on a constant tour. Porter Robinson has become the latest artist to publicly open up about his health issues. The American DJ/Producer took to twitter to express his thought on the matter, disclosing to fans that since 2015, he had been in a period of “depression and doubt” that nearly destroyed him. He continued to explain how he felt sad for not being able to bring himself to follow his passion and create new music during this tough time.
Since the, Porter has released a hit “Shelter” a collaboration with French Producer Madeon which led to a collaborative tour, Porter has been able to move away from this not so good moment with a renewed eagerness to continuing productions which he says he “REALLY loves”.
Porter also announced that in 2017 he will be taking a break from touring in favor of finishing all of the tracks that were left unfinished when depression hit him. It’s still unclear if this means a new album or a series of EPs and individual releases. Nevertheless Porter fans can expect brand new high quality music from Porter Robinson in 2017, as he gets back to full strength!
