It was in an interview with the German music publication ‘Groove Magazine’ that good news for all DJ’s and producers were revealed. The functionality that until then was not available – upload DJ mixes in the site – it’s now possible without obtaining the rights beforehand on SoundCloud Go.
This new service (SoundClound Go), created with the intention of compete with iTunes (Apple music) and Sopity’s likes, promises to be a new opportunity especially for all new and beginners Dance music makers.
Said Eric Wahlforss, founder of platform;
“During the negotiations for SoundCloud Go, we achieved agreement with collecting societies like GEMA in Germany, making these problems a thing of the past – even for users who do not subscribe. This means that DJ mixes are now legal and problem-free on SoundCloud. So this is a very positive news for DJs.”
However, the news is not celebrated only by the users. The company that had to deal with various critics when (because some labels contracts) take down a thousand tracks, regained the preference over others similar services.
