Fabric is on a legal battle with the Islington Council and to help the lawsuit a 111-Track compilation is set to be released soon.
Early September Fabric was forced to shut its doors by the Islington Council following a two males died of overdose during a nigh out at the club, since then Fabric has campaigned to raise awareness about their situation. #SaveFabric campaign has since then raised over 160,000 signatures on an online petition, and over £300,000 on donations to help with the lawsuit, Fabric will have the chance to re-appeal 28th of November.
To help raise funds Fabric and houndstooth will be releasing a 111-track compilation titled “#SaveFabric“, the artist entered in the compilation by donating a free track were asked by the club “a previously unreleased track, either brand new or an alternative version of an old classic.” The artists only had 3 weeks to deliver on the track and the list is complied with a huge variation of artists – including Audion, dBridge, Dub Phizix, Ikonika, Machinedrum, Nathan Fake, Skream and many more.

“In the era of the playlist, this compilation represents a comprehensive overview of electronic music from the outer fringes of experimental explorations right through to music aimed squarely at the dance floor,” … “Ahead of the court date which will determine the long-term future of fabric nightclub we’d like to present this compilation as a document of this moment in time but also as the perfect embodiment of everything fabric and Houndstooth stand for.”
